Frontline Listeners Network: Kingdom Comes on the Frontline

Updated: Oct 16, 2025

Frontline Listeners' are everyday people that by the nature of their job end up listening to a lot of people process their life.

This includes, but isn't limited to, barbers, bartenders, hair stylists, diner folk, baristas, and secretaries.

Problem:

  • While frontline listeners' aren't counselors or therapists, Christ invites these workers to create space for Kingdom Come through a lot of listening and processing.

  • Quality of listening skills or boundaries is variable.

  • Frontline Listeners' enjoy and are exhausted by all the listening they do and they don't have a place to connect with others and process themselves in Christ-centered community.

  • They are often unidentified, unseen, and underappreciated for the vital listening work they do that helps our society heal.

  • There is also an opportunity for these workers to introduce people to Christ through their own story, but that requires courage in Christian community.

Solution: Create a regional Christ-centered network of front-line listeners who encourage, listen, and support each other in becoming better listeners and better at their craft for Kingdom Come.

Strategy (regional):

  • Map frontline listeners and their businesses: Please Fill Out This Form

  • Gather annually to celebrate, encourage, and connect each other for ongoing support

  • Visit each other's businesses to support each other
